The unit can be placed on the center console of your vehicle or behind the passenger seat headrest. Placement of device is secured with an attached strap.
Ensure that the unit is properly secured before operating the vehicle and never attempt to operate the unit while driving.
The air outside is filled with pollutants. And it’s not any better in your car, even when the windows are shut. In fact, it’s worse6. From the gaps in your doors, windows, trunk, and heat and air conditioning vents come dust, traffic pollution, and foul odors. Even the materials that make up the interior of your car emit airborne pollutants. Drivers and passengers are bombarded with harmful pollutants that can contribute to adverse health conditions and potential illnesses. Furthermore, these contaminants remain in your car and combine with unpleasant odors created from within (e.g. stale food smells) that can linger for days.

Frequently asked by customers
What’s the best place in my car to install the Atmosphere Drive™ unit?
As we developed the Atmosphere Drive™ unit, we explored all the mounting options within the car. We considered placing the unit on the floor, on the seat, mounted on the roof of the car, etc. All these options were evaluated from a performance and accessibility perspective. It was determined that the two best locations with the least amount of mounting accessory tools were on the headrest or the center console. However, before installing the system, make sure the location you choose is also in accordance with any regulations that might apply in your area.
- Headrest – Strap The strap provides the ability to securely fasten the unit. The location of the headrest with clean air blowing towards the roof of the car provides optimal airflow within the car.
- Center Console – Strap The strap provides the ability to securely fasten the unit. While the airflow might not be optimal, it is a good location due to proximity to the driver or passenger.
Does the Atmosphere Drive™ unit come with a battery so I can use it on the go?
The Atmosphere Drive™ unit does not come with a battery. It needs to be powered with a 12V power supply, which can be found inside a car. There are adaptors which allow the user to power Atmosphere Drive™ with a wall outlet, making it possible to use the system outside the car. However, Amway does not provide these adaptors.
What pollutants can the Atmosphere Drive™ unit filter?
The Atmosphere Drive™ unit has certified reduction of airborne PM2.5 particles, including more than 300 airborne pathogens and particulates – as well as gases, including formaldehyde, toluene, and TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound).
How much clean air does the Atmosphere Drive™ System provide?
The Atmosphere Drive™ System is certified to deliver up to 30 cubic meters of clean air per hour. All air treatment systems, including Atmosphere Drive™, work by dilution, in that the nearby polluted air is continuously diluted with a source of clean air until the rate at which clean air is delivered equals the rate at which nearby pollution is generated (pollution coming from both inside the car and outdoor pollution entering the car). The air will be diluted to a cleaner state until an equilibrium is reached. The effect depends on the volume of the car, how air-tight the frame of the car is, the speed at which the car is moving (the faster the car moves, the more outdoor air will seep inside), and the level of pollution being generated in the car and nearby outdoors.
